CGI Edmonton is seeking an experienced Java architect and are pleased to be able to offer a great opportunity to a motivated individual to join our development team! This role directly provides leading information technology services to our clients in Edmonton.

Aufgaben:

• Work on high-functioning agile teams as the Application architect and participate in requirement design and architectural deliverables, as well as solving difficult problems with the team.
• Provide architectural guidance and leadership to teams and individuals, as appropriate.
• Have hands-on experience and be ready to get actively involved to code if required.

Qualifikation:

• 8+ years of Java software development experience
• 3+ years in the role of an Architect
• Experience in successful delivery of projects involving Java technologies related to some of the skills mentioned below.

Attributes:
• Highly self-motivated and capable of working with minimal direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education:
• University/College degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Certifications in information technology, software development, and related products are considered an asset.

Skills:
• Experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Experience with building & consuming REST APIs
• Experience with JSF
• Experience with web application development (html/css/javascript)
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Experience with OAuth2/OIDC
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Very good understanding of solution architecture concepts and methods
• Demonstrated experience conducting and documenting assessments related to security and risk.

Additional desired Skills:
• Agile or Scrum framework experience
• Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration
