Position Description:

Reporting directly to GMA Controller, we are looking for a Finance Manager who will become a strategic, financial and operational thought partner to the management team. The selected applicant will provide comprehensive financial insight into our business, while pushing to improve efficiency and growth of both top and bottom line. The candidate will help drive forecasting and planning initiatives, enhance internal tools, ensure accounting accuracy and prepare analyses.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Manage three or four Financial Analysts
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and deliver well-supported and documented financial plans
• Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results compared against forecasts and budgets
• Prepare and present financial results with discerning commentary to key business unit stakeholders
• Take ownership of balance sheet integrity through reviews and sign off
• Partner closely with our centralized Finance Business Services group on financial close activities
• Manage special requests and collaborate on in-house projects

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Post-secondary education with an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA)
• 4 to 7 years of Operations Finance experience, ideally in a business partnering role
• Proven analytical skills
• A strong work ethic
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
• Experience, proficiency and comfort in communicating and working effectively at all levels, including senior management
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• A motivated self-starter who takes initiative to bring issues to resolution
• Highly organized and business process oriented
• High level of comfort in challenging assumptions by leveraging logic and critical thinking
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility
• Bilingualism

Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also possess the following:

• Experience in a professional project environment
• Experience and success in mentoring others and excellent interpersonal skills
• Practical experience with Hyperion and PeopleSoft
