Cognos Reports Developer & Administrator **TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Clearance Required**

Position Description:

CGI is seeking an expert Cognos reports developer and administrator to support financial management reporting activities at a Federal Government Agency. Candidate will join a team of business systems specialists that provide financial, accounting, and integration for a large federal agency. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying business intelligence solutions that leverage BI reporting and analytic solutions. The candidate will also configure views, dashboards, security, etc. for Cognos reports.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The individual will be involved in a variety of tasks to meet the client objectives.
This may include:
• Develop and maintain reports using Cognos Report Studio
• Develop and maintain dashboards and apply data visualization best practices
• Develop and document setup and configuration parameters
• Define and follow Cognos development best practices
• Provide subject matter expertise in Cognos BI solution architecture
• Provide system support for the Cognos environment (Cognos Administration for both
the development and production environments)
• Managing report security, folder security, report schedules and distribution
• Coordinating with Software Testers and Release Management to integrate the final work
product into the production environment by creating deployment files.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, systems, business, accounting, finance or equivalent
• At least 10 years of reports writing and/or data architecture experience.
• Senior level skills in building Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards and Active Reports using
IBM Cognos.
• Strong SQL and/or PL/SQL development experience with the ability to write complex and
nested SQL queries
• Active TS/SCI w/ CI poly required
Desired
• Prior experience with Momentum or other Federal Financial System strongly preferred
• Prior experience developing DoD financial reports
• Experience working in a Linux Red Hat environment
• Experience working with Oracle Databases
• Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work well independently
• Demonstrated ability to interpret functional and technical requirements
• Takes ownership of problems and develops sound solutions
• Able to fully research business situation, identify areas of concern and present solution
• Due to government contract/security clearance requirements, US Citizenship is required
