Your future duties and responsibilities:
What do our Cybersecurity Architects do?
•Create and advise/guide the execution/implementation of cybersecurity architecture and defence-in-depth design concepts to ensure our clients’ achieve the most appropriate, effective and operationally viable security;
•Build conceptual architectures for the security products and services that protect many of the largest businesses across Canada and the globe;
•Provide architectural and technical mentorship to clients and colleagues spanning traditional datacenter, to Cloud or Hybrid environments; and
•Collaborate with national and international peers on a diversity of challenging initiatives.
By joining us you will:
•Apply expert knowledge of how cybersecurity systems and services integrate effectively into a wide range of IT infrastructures and ecosystems;
•Guide clients in meeting their security objectives by developing conceptual designs and architecting the best technology and service solutions ;
•Collaborate with our CGI teams and clients to capture requirements and propose effective security approaches;
•Integrate cybersecurity systems and services into a wide range of IT infrastructures;
•Provide expert cybersecurity technical advice in the development of technical cybersecurity offerings and managed security services;
•Facilitate presentations and meetings with our trusted clients and team members; and
•Maintain an ongoing awareness of trends in cybersecurity technology and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To be successful you should have:
•6-10 years of related experience (Security architecture);
•Demonstrable experience with cybersecurity systems, architectural concepts, and best-of-breed security solutions;
•A solid grasp of security topologies, network security standard methodologies and the application of suitable security safeguards;
•Understanding the importance of security safeguards including access control, security monitoring and response capabilities in conventional, Cloud and hybrid environments;
•A flare for building solutions that align enterprise security architecture frameworks and defined security controls and standards;
•Demonstrated ability for analytical thinking and self-directed research in cybersecurity topics;
•Experience crafting and delivering presentations and discussing technical solutions with clients, encouraging confidence and forming positive relationships;
•Participation in a variety of projects featuring diverse delivery environments and sophisticated security integration demands in both Government and industry;
•Ability to speak, write and communicate effectively in English; and
•A valid Government of Canada enhanced security clearance.

•A valid CISSP certification – other relevant security certifications will be considered;
•Experience in cloud architecture - MS Azure or AWS Cloud Security Architecture/Design certification and/or experience, and security of micro-services in a Cloud environment;
•Professional Cloud architecture and/or security certification, e.g. AWS, Azure;
•Direct experience in authentication and access management design and best practices;
•Familiarity and experience with common architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as Zachman, TOGAF, Object-Oriented design concepts;
•Demonstrable understanding of government security guidelines and standards, including but not limited to NIST 800-53, NIST Cloud Computing Security Reference Architecture, ITSG-33 methodology and the technical control requirements of the Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) process;
•The ability to provide advice and mentorship to a technical implementation team to ensure provide effective delivery of client cybersecurity requirements;
•Eligible for a Government of Canada Secret clearance; and
•Effective written and verbal communication skills in French.
