The Scrum Master will help guide and mentor a team of dedicated specialists, drawing on CGI’s global capabilities as well as their own experience, to lead the Scrum team in delivering a product or solution aligned with Agile values and principles to meet project objectives, timelines, scope and budget. The Scrum Master acts as facilitator and supports the Product Owner.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Leading/participating in ceremonies and daily scrums
• Supporting the team during iteration
• Removing obstacles that prevent the team from achieving the iteration goals
• Facilitating team meetings and sessions with the team and client
• Measuring and supervising the velocity of the team, planning accordingly
• Handling project timelines, scope, budget, issues and risks according to defined process, in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Providing status reports on team accomplishments, story points, velocity
• Accompanying the team in the estimation and division of tasks
• Supporting the Product Owner in maintaining the Product Backlog and completing the delivery plan
• Managing or assisting in the management of maintenance and evolution of a solution through the Product Backlog and CI/CD pipeline, if appropriate

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required technical skills:
• 3 to 5yrs experience in IT Project management, Agile or Scrum
• multiple project experience in a leadership role, in an IT or technical environment

Desired technical skills:
• Experience in waterfall and other non-agile project methodologies
• Technical background or experience in SDLC
• 3+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master

• Post Secondary Education in a technical or business field
• Scrum Master Certification
