As the Managed Services – Sr Project Manager at CGI within Utilities & Energy sector, you will have the lead role in defining and creating project and deployment plans, implementing CGI OpenGrid IP on the next generation cloud platform

This is an exciting strategic opportunity, which requires an individual with the ability to oversee technical resources working in a dynamic environment supporting multiple client projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is able to quickly adapt to often changing organizational and client priorities while helping the technical resources deliver the implementation of new and complicated technical concepts and work closely with other technical and functional teams to provide robust and flexible technical solutions for clients leveraging CGI’s OpenGrid® product suite in a hosted/cloud environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

For this role, CGI is looking for an individual with experience working on projects and programs on enterprise-scale, multi-tiered, multi-platform, integrated systems; with a strong work ethic that takes full ownership of the team’s workload; deep project management experience, and the ability to effectively work with other geographically distributed team members and external teams.

The successful candidate will join the Utilities Managed services team and reporting into the Managed services director

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Candidate must foster positive relationships with the client stakeholders, internal CGI stakeholders and local/global delivery teams, and be an excellent representative of the Utilities OpenGrid Program
• Candidate will have daily virtual interaction with clients, CGI Infrastructure teams, CGI Managed Services Application Installation teams and CGI Functional Application Configuration teams to coordinate and drive the delivery of OpenGrid Cloud
• Manage project artifacts to include: timelines, resource plans, change management and reporting utilizing Microsoft Project
• Produce weekly status reports and metrics
• Ensure that objectives and project deliverables are accomplished on time
• Provide Project Management for cross-functional projects spanning multiple teams, as assigned
• Lead, plan, coordinate and manage program/project deliverables, schedule, budget and reporting for a wide array of implementation, upgrade projects for Utilities clients
• Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives/projects in a large, complex and high paced environment under minimal supervision
• Collaborate with resources across various application and infrastructure support teams, architecture and solution engineering, information security, etc. and serve as the bridge between technical and business teams
• Partner with Business Units and keep all stakeholders engaged and informed about project status
• Identify and effectively manage project risks and issues throughout project lifecycle and ensure mitigation of all project blockers
• Utilize established project management methodology (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, Hybrid) to manage the project life cycle and follow established and industry best practices and standards
• Ensure effective program/project ownership, delivery, communication, coordination, and facilitation of tasks and activities
• Demonstrate proactive behavior by leading program planning activities, defining scope, timelines and dependencies while ensuring consistent, predictable and successful delivery
• Work with the service delivery team on improving the process and procedures and ensure continued improvements and delivery excellence

• Proven successful work experience, 8-10 years, delivering complex IT application and infrastructure programs and projects in a large, high volume multi-client environment supporting several remote locations
• In-depth understanding of a wide array of application, infrastructure technologies and Datacenter operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and be accountable for deliverables, timeliness, budget, and quality
• Full lifecycle solution development / delivery experience including transition and support
• Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving and influencing skills
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication
• Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of the global IT organization
• Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude and approach
• Excellent organization, presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical, non-technical, and executive levels
• Must have strong will to work in an extremely challenging environment
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders particularly from a service focus, service quality standpoint
• BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), SAFe certified or equivalent

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $108-156k
