Corporate Social Responsibility Lead: CGI Finland, Poland and Baltics

We are now looking for a Corporate Social Responsibility Lead in CGI Finland, Poland and Baltics to be widely responsible for developing our corporate responsibility. CGI´s strategic goal of corporate social responsibility is to be recognized by our communities as a caring and responsible corporate citizen. Our three corporate social responsibility priorities are people, communities and climate.

People
Act as a global leader by encouraging and educating more people to improve technical and business literacy. Promote local mentoring programs and partnerships with clients, local schools and universities. Planning and contributing of mobile game Spoofy. Spoofy is a free mobile game which helps children work safely in the digital world by solving various cyber security issues. In addition, we hire young professionals through the Future Talent Trainee Program, helping to start their career in IT. Furthermore we have helped our employees to complete their unfinished studies with Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Communities
In collaboration with our clients, benefit the overall well-being of the communities where we live and work. Use CGI’s technology and business consulting expertise to deliver pro bono IT work for local charities and community organizations. Coordination of Get Involved volunteering program to offer our employees the opportunity to do charity for one day per year. With Get Involved volunteering program our employees have participated for example protecting nature and helping families in need.

Climate
Demonstrate our commitment to environmental and economical sustainability through operating practices, community service activities, and projects delivered in collaboration with our clients. Implement sustainable operating practices that align with the UN Global Compact and ISO 14001. CGI is committed to net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.

In this role

As our Corporate Social Responsibility Lead, you will develop CGI's responsibility strategy and actions together with other versatile experts. You will oversee the overall execution, mission, and impact of the corporate social responsibility program in CGI Finland, Poland and Baltics. You contribute to CGI global CSR Executive Steering Committee and you will work closely with CGI management, C-level clients and other appropriate stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities are:
- Act as a subject matter expert in CSR in CGI Finland, Poland and Baltics both internally and externally
- Drive and implement CSR strategies and operational activities
- Network within CGI´s clients seeking for business development opportunities
- Represent CGI in media convincingly
- Develop and maintain CSR tooling, reporting and records in CGI Finland, Poland and Baltics as well as CGI globally
- Maintain current working knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Participate in preparations of proposals with attention to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs
- Be accountable for Environmental certificates e.g. ISO 14000
- Present CSR recommendations followed by actions
- Organize internal CSR training in CGI operating countries

Our expectations about your background

For this role, you have a university degree in a relevant field e.g. environmental management. You have at least five years of experience of a similar role and have a deep knowledge in CSR practices. You also have the enthusiasm and desire to work in a diverse working community where everyone helps each other. You have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English. Presentation and networking skills are essential.

The team you will join

You will be part of our Operations Support and Facilities team of 30 colleagues working with our business units and clients. Our team is responsible for strategic planning, implementation of action plans and operational excellence in our operating countries. Most of the team is located in Helsinki which is preferable in this role. Though, since working in a hybrid model also other locations within Finland are negotiable.
