Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an experienced AWS / full stack Cloud Engineer for an exciting opportunity within our Intel Community

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work alongside a team of AWS cloud architects and engineers to rebuild and rehost an old database application into a new cloud-native design that is capable of scaling and extending based on future data needs.
• Provide technical guidance to the development team that is building purpose-built data stores (to include RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, NOSQL MongoDB, Graph database, or ElasticCache Redis) hosted on Amazon’s Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using services such as GIT and Jenkins to automate code deployment across development, test and production environments.
• Build infrastructure as code (IaaC) scripts using tools like Amazon CloudFormation to develop automated and repeatable infrastructure components.
• Enable and confirm that developers can access services such as: Database Migration Service (DMS), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, EC2, API Gateway, Route 53, Lambda, Amazon SageMaker.
• Securely design, document and architect AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to include private and public subnets, inbound and outbound routing rules, secure outbound access from private subnets, VPC peering.
• Implement containerization strategy using Docker files, images, running instances and container clustering solutions such as Kubernetes to support workloads such as machine learning models running inside Amazon SageMaker service.
• Implement security best practices such as least-privilege access using AWS services such as: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management Service (KMS), Security Groups, VPC endpoints where appropriate.
• Monitor the performance, scalability and security using Amazon services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Simple Notification Service (SNS).
• Assist development team with source control management using GitLab.
• Support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to facilitate AWS and other software obtain ATO in an air-gapped environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Degree: Bachelors
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in secured DoD or Intelligence Community Government environment.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE certification or higher for DoD 8570 Compliance.
• TS/SCI clearance required, with CI poly preferred

Desired:
• Full stack software development experience to include: JDBC, Relational databases, Python, Java, DevOps, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, OpenSearch, Kibana, Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with low to high data and code transfer.
• Experience with static code analysis (e.g. SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory).
Certifications:
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• AWS Solution Architect Associate or Azure equivalent
• AWS SysOps Administrator Associate or Azure equivalent
• AWS Machine Learning Specialty or Azure equivalent
