Your day-to-day activities
What all our customers have in common is that they need to modernize and transform their services and Risk Management operations to keep up with what consumers and regulators expect and ensure their long term financial health. Based on your skills and ambitions, you will work on varied assignments that are interesting for your development. The assignments take place at customer locations in the Randstad, with a focus on the Amsterdam region.
As a Senior Product Owner / Business Analyst you work with a high degree of independence and autonomy. You are an experienced Risk consulting professional and as a member of a team of +/- 15 colleagues you make the difference in assignments for your client. The current team has a primary focus on regulatory implementations across all business and IT disciplines. Examples of the most common assignments with our customers are:
• Advise clients and lead execution teams as the subject matter expert on asset based
finance product configuration including a wide range of product types e.g.
fixed & variable rate loans, standard financial & operating lease products,
stage payments and complex lease products, purchase products,
purchase of receivables and equipment, variable balance/ revolving debt
facilities, as well as value added products e.g. insurance, servicing and
• Advise clients and work with software vendor and CGI teams to configure end-to-end
customer service and product management processes e.g. lease quote,
credit risk assessment, approval and monitoring; new client onboarding
• Calculation of interest
• Collateral & security administration
• Contract management and amendments; in-life amendments incl. partial settlements,
early terminations, extensions and novations; billing
• Asset remarketing
• Lead cross-country software integration, migration and rollout programmes, leading
multiple scrum teams to configure products and related end-to-end
processes across countries
• Establish and maintain the CI/CD pipeline to ensure the automated and controlled
introduction of new releases into the client environment, including
alignment with client and software vendor to coordinate release lifecycle
• Manage all application configuration changes, ensuring alignment with the business
change agenda of your client(s)
• Advise clients on implementation of application and data integration requirements
including use public APIs (REST/JSON) to deliver standard business
• Participate in joint scoping and definition of new functional & technical requirements
where code development is needed, working with clients and software
vendor partners to determine how the changes can best be made and
assuring changes are appropriately specified, approved and delivered
• Design training programs and training materials and coordinate / deliver training to
different user groups on topics ranging from system usage to
configurations, security, deployment, workflows and technical areas
• Provide continuous monitoring of solution performance & service management on the full
technology stack in the client environment
• Develop and provide business analyses, management information and reporting services
to internal and external clients
• Stay abreast of relevant regulatory requirements in your sector and advise clients and
delivery teams on implementation of risk & compliance policies
• Assess, challenge and optimize client lifecycle management and product administration
processes & systems for the purpose of financial and risk management,
and map functional & technical requirements for the lease landscape –
e.g.: data definitions & taxonomy, risk data models, integration and
• Credit scoring model implementation; loan origination & authorization processes
• Probability of default / loss given default model implementation, collateral management
and loan loss provisioning process
• Internal and external reporting process.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a senior, experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst with deep knowledge and expertise in asset based lending operations and IT. You may have worked in a Product Owner / Business Analyst role at a leading commercial finance firm e.g. a bank or OEM captive offering asset based lending solutions. You have worked in an external consultant or internal project capacity and have been exposed to or worked in an Agile or DevOps environment.
You have strong affinity with and experience implementing domain-specific, cloud-based technology solutions and processes to support end-to-end commercial lease processes. This should ideally include Azure native tools and exposure to an Azure Cloud environment. You have helped FS-firms transition legacy lending capabilities to leading cloud-based solutions, taking overall responsibility for the roadmap and key aspects of the design and execution e.g. process and service architecture, user experience, application and data integration.
You understand the end-to-end customer and operating processes in the asset based finance business – from sales & origination, credit approval and new client onboarding to calculation of interest, collateral & security administration, contract management and in-life amendments, through to billing, contract terminations and asset remarketing.
You have experience with and understand the key elements of the lease software product suite incl. Point of Sale, Proposal Management, Contract Management, Case Management and Business Process Automation.
You have excellent communication skills. You know how to influence senior management and key stakeholders of the importance of policy, process and technology choices. You enjoy giving presentations and training to roll out and establish new procedures and ways of working.
Further you have:
• Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant discipline
• Fluent in English; fluency in Dutch is an advantage
• At least 5 years of work experience as an external consultant or in an internal advisory /
delivery role at a financial institution
