Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Payroll Corporate Application Specialist to join our corporate Global Business services team located in downtown Montreal. The Payroll Corporate Application Specialist (CAS) supports the Global Payroll teams on a variety of activities, including projects, change requests, system issue analysis and researching legislation changes.

The CAS works closely with Payroll, Finance and HR teams and the PeopleSoft Support IT team on activities that support the PSA HR/Payroll System in order to have a robust Payroll system and remain compliant in all aspects.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Global Payroll teams
• Be on-call on night of pay confirms in case of any issues that would be found by the support team
• High involvement in payroll activities such as Year-End activities, Tax updates, internal/external audits, setups, etc.
• Working on different projects involving many stakeholders in different groups
• Prepare procedures and internal communications in order to support Payroll and HR groups
• Support key internal HRBPs during acquisition integration
• Perform preliminary analysis of issues before opening a request with the support team
• Work with the IT support team on Incidents and Change requests that have an impact on Payroll
• Read and understand functional documents for all program changes to be done
• Perform thorough client testing on delivered changes from the Support or Project teams
• Research North America payroll legislation changes

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in business process analysis is required
• Excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM software
• North America payroll background
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, both and English and French
• Microsoft Office Tools skills
• Proactive, Self-Taught, quality driven, team player
• Ability to prioritize tasks to be done
• Strong analytical capabilities, clear and logical thinking
• Intermediate comprehension of IT functionalities/language
• Strong ability to work under pressure and to work with deadlines
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Respect for confidentiality
