Position Description:

As an Application Administrator, you will be part of the CGI Edmonton team.

This position is funded by the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP). The SWPP program requires that candidates be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act”

Developed in partnership with Technation, the NextGen WiSE (Women in STEM Excel) experience will allow you to:
• have a 1:1 mentorship with a CGI woman leader
• expand your network by participating in national and local social activities with other co-ops
• develop your own learning plan by leveraging our e-learning platform
• participate in professional development workshops focused on soft skill development
• fast track to future new grad opportunities at CGI

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Performing user administration (creation and modification of user accounts)
- Carrying out operational procedures of a routine nature
- Answering client inquiries
- Responding to, researching, diagnosing, and resolving problems through real-time discussions/chats with users
- Resolving less complex problems immediately, escalating more complex problems to senior-level support
- Altering application configuration per stakeholder requirements; Performing small application code changes
- Utilizing monitoring tools and manual health checks to ensure that systems are functioning within normal specifications
- Assisting in administrating the team's centralized Outlook mailbox & ticketing queues
- Creating and updating documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Being a student of an IT-related program
- Being available for an 8-month co-op term
- Superb communication and problem solving skills
- Expertise with Windows systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new technologies, applications and systems
