Position Description:

As part of the Human Resources team, reporting to the Director of Total Compensation, the Consultant will have a focus on broad based compensation with a strong emphasis on data analytics for our Canada strategic business unit (over 11,000 employees). The ideal candidate takes on an advisory role building and maintaining strong working relationships with the Human Resources Team. The successful candidate must demonstrate compensation technical expertise and advanced Excel skills. We are seeking someone who is well organized, energetic and with a high level of attention to detail to join our team in CGI, preferably in Montreal

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Support the administration of compensation programs and processes such as annual salary review and Profit Participation Plan and produce reports and analysis for leadership approval.
•Perform benchmarking and ad hoc market analysis, using advanced MS Excel skills to include research and presentation of appropriate external and internal comparisons.
•Provide consulting services, insight and guidance to Human Resources Business Partners and other internal clients on compensation topics and develop and deliver communications, training, and job aids.
•Liaise with HR Member Services, HR Systems and Tools, third party providers or others as required to resolve escalated issues or to improve service delivery or processes.
•Participate actively in local compensation projects, conduct job evaluations and maintain salary structure.
•Support and monitor the compliance of our programs, with all legal requirements, related to compensation and accurate timely evidence of compliance. (i.e. pay equity).
•Participate actively in the renewal of CGI global insurance policies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Minimum two years’ experience covering various compensation topics.
•Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Excellent analytical skills and the ability to distill large quantities of data into a meaningful format for decision making.
•Must have proven customer focus skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills together with a consultative approach and the ability to build solid business relationships.
•Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and independently manage multiple competing priorities.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail and maintain confidential information.
•Strong verbal and written communication (English and French) skills and the ability to present effectively to small groups
•Advanced Excel and solid Power Point skills.
•Knowledge of group benefits and PSA Oracle an asset.
