CGI is seeking self-motivated hands-on Java Developers for a financial client located in Jersey City, NJ. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting clients throughout the country.

Based in Jersey City; hybrid roles 2 days/week in office (no option for fully remote)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Opportunity to support a large Financial client using Agile Methodologies and ground breaking technologies to deliver high quality software initiatives.

Design, implement, and maintain Java based programs.

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.

Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.

Lead Java and Java EE application development.

Ensure designs align with specifications.

Prepare and produce releases of software components.

Participate in scrum events.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Minimum of 8 years of validated experience in development.

Experience with Capital Markets, Trade Capture, Prime Finance, Margin, etc. is preferred.

Experience in design, build performance, high availability, scalable, and distributed applications, capable of supporting straight through processing of large amount of data

Experience with web services development using Spring Boot / REST APIs

Experience in the following technologies is required: J2EE / Spring / Hibernate / Multithreading / JMS / MQ

Experience in Database like Oracle, Sybase, etc.

Experience and functional domain knowledge of Prime Brokerage is a plus

Strong experience in Java server side background using Kafka, Solace, Kubernetes

Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux
Agile development experience

Cloud Application Design experience

Educational Expectations: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
