Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Sr. Java developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Cary, NC. The system has high visibility within the organization, and is used by many prominent stakeholders.

Requires hands-on Java Developer with (7-10 years) of development experience in Enterprise level applications using Java8/J2EE, Maven, Spring Core, webservices, Sprint Boot, Multithreading, Messaging, Oracle, Junit, YAML, PKI Management.

This role offers the ability of joining a team utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies on highly visible initiatives to the highest level within the Organization.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Java based programs.

Deliver high availability and performance.

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.

Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.

Manage Java and Java EE application development.

Ensure designs comply with specifications.

Prepare and production releases of software components.

Participate in Scrum events.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Possess strong backend development experience.

Proficiency in Java 1.8, Test Driven Development.

SQL, RDMS and an understanding of data modeling principles.

Ability to work with complex data models.

Java Messaging Services, REST Services.

Linux/Unix Scripting.

GIT.

Educational Expectations: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field.
