Position Description:

Would you like to play a vital role in the growth journey of CGI and work in a global team that supports our business units in Germany or Sweden to win large strategic deals with our clients? As part of your role, you will be the enabler and driver for creating bold and impactful long-term strategic partnerships with our clients.

As a Global Business Engineering Lead (f/m/d), you must be able to design solutions for large strategic deals. More specifically, you must be able to support and collaborate in the design, the communication and ultimately the negotiation of the technical, financial, and operational solution along with contractual terms. All to deliver impactful business value to the client while at the same time achieving the commercial objectives of CGI.

While Global Business Engineering is a truly global function utilizing the Global CGI capabilities, your prime focus area will be on Germany, Sweden and Norway. Primary focus will be on strategic transformational Managed Services including Cloud Sourcing and other new service delivery models, but entail also the active pursuit of other strategic IT service delivery solutions.
The position does require also supporting local Business Development functions, it is by no means a classical sales position. The core activity will be the design and execution of unique and innovative service propositions to the extent possible jointly with the client, but always drawing on CGI best practices and success stories worldwide.

You will be part of a small but very senior group that reports – through the Vice President Global Business Engineering – directly to the CGI Executive Committee at the Corporate Headquarters in Canada, represented by the Executive Vice President Global Business Engineering. Frequent C-level conversations both CGI-internally and with the client management (CIO, CFO, CEO) are an important part of the role.

The majority of the work to be executed is the management of specific large/strategic opportunities, but you will also be tasked to create reusable building blocks for other strategic initiatives around the globe, and bring in building blocks from other units to the local delivery groups.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and drive strategic large opportunities as we evolve our business mix towards a greater share of Managed Services.
• Engage in insightful dialogue with the C-Level of potential clients to drive a discussion on how CGI can help our clients solve their business problems and accelerate their performance.
• Work on large strategic deals within different functions (e.g. as Opportunity Pursuit Lead, Bid Manager, Solution Lead, Coach/Advisor, or independent assessor) to define a winning solution
• Align across multiple strategic business units to identify and set up the efficient and effective use of CGI’s global capabilities
• Leverage CGI’s USP to position our unique capabilities against emerging competitors
• Act as a coach to increase skill levels within local organizations to develop and win more impactful deals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of experience in the IT and IT services industry, with experience in managing large departments and/or teams
• 5+ years of experience in identifying, solutioning, closing and winning large strategic deals with a TCV of 100M or more
• Experience in designing end-to-end services solutions with our experts across the following elements:
• Strategic & Business consulting
• Application Services & IT Modernization
• Infrastructure, Hybrid IT and Cloud Operations
• Business Process Services
• Executive experience and comfortable in engaging on CxO Level
• Experience with project and program management of large IT-projects
• Experience with financial engineering and contracting for large volume contracts in coordination with the respective subject matter experts
• Strong posture in public appearances, leadership qualities with team player capabilities
• Strong innovator, game changer
• Fluent in English and German or Swedish
