Your future duties and responsibilities:

Your role will cover Unix Administration, Cloud Administration (Private On-prem & Azure/AWS) and
Ansible Automation. It will also include administration across multiple vendors/technologies and therefore provides an excellent opportunity to rapidly build your experience. Vendors include Red Hat (Linux & Ansible), Azure/AWS, Oracle (Linux, Solaris & OVM/OLVM), AIX, HP-UX, VMWare. You will undertake all aspects of support and administration for multiple flavours of Unix, delivering business critical services to a wide range of clients. The role will be challenging, diverse and rewarding. This is an excellent opportunity to thrive in, gaining skills and experience rapidly to push your career forward.
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday covering between the hours of 8am - 6pm
You will also be required to join the on-call rota covering 24x7 including weekends (usually one shift in every 4 weeks), and would also be expected to pick up various amounts of overtime

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You will have sound technical knowledge of at least one flavour of Unix; AIX, Linux (RedHat), Solaris, HP-UX, Debian, Ubuntu, Centos. You will also have demonstrable experience of UNIX in a commercial environment and a proven track record of working in an IT support environment, troubleshooting technical problems and working to Service Level Agreements.
Essential Technical Skills;
• General Cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS)
• Good knowledge in Ansible/scripting languages
• Good level of knowledge in at least one of: Linux, Solaris, AIX
• Good level of knowledge in at least one of: OVM, OLVM, VMWare

All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level and be eligible for higher level clearance as well.

• Competent in use of Remedy and ITSM
• Competent in use of Microsoft Office Products
• ITIL Foundation
