Join the newly created Space, Defence and Intelligence sector in Australia and grow as the team expands. You will work with a talented team of subject matter experts and IT professionals to deliver end to end IT solutions for our clients. We are looking to grow a broad variety of space opportunities within the team and are looking for someone with experience in the space sector.

Key business areas we are looking to grow include:
• Spacecraft and payload command & control.
• Space domain awareness mission systems.
• Earth observation and geo-spatial intelligence applications and data processing.
• AI, machine learning and data analytics for space systems.
• Converged 5G terrestrial/Satcom networks, including IoT.
• Space launch and range.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify business prospects
• Build executive client relationships and support business growth activities.
• Identify opportunities for future expansion of work and strategic pursuits
• Develop solutions encompassing CGI services, working with our global technical experts
• Assist clients to gain maximum benefit from CGI services
• Support delivery by taking on the role of Account Manager
• Develop relationships with key vendors and partners
• Support the hiring, building and leadership of local delivery teams
• Travel to client locations across East and South Australia.
• UK travel may be a future requirement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven background in Military and/or Commercial Satellite Systems, with an extensive network of local contacts, that includes a sound working knowledge and understanding of:
- The current market for Military and Commercial satellite systems
- Spacecraft operations
- Spacecraft ground control systems
- Satellite Space and Ground Segment Systems design
- Security and Assurance
• At least 10 years’ commercial experience in a technical or project management role (aerospace or space experience desirable).
• Experience in at least one of the key business growth areas listed above
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A winning mindset, self-starter and demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• The ability to gain a baseline security clearance
