Position Description:

CGI are recruiting Project and Programme Managers in our Energy and Utilities Sector who will be responsible for developing and delivering engagements that provide exceptional client value.

Working with our account leads and wider CGI UK business you will use your proven experience to lead multi-disciplined delivery teams using onshore, offshore and 3rd party capabilities. The engagements you lead will invariably be of an enterprise level, encapsulate emerging technologies and be enablers of digital transformation. The exact size and complexity will align to your demonstrable experience and include financial responsibility.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You’ll be able to work on multiple engagements in an entrepreneurial environment that delivers meaningful change for our clients. Going the extra mile, taking pride in your work, that of your team and CGI will be second nature to you. This includes being a confident self-starter and a creative problem solver who manages the full breadth of delivery risk. Depending on your experience, you will guide, mentor and coach junior team members, enhancing the capability of your own team and that of the wider CGI organisation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A proven track record in delivering engagements (total contract value from c.£1m to c. £40m, depending on experience level)
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and expertise in presenting to senior clients
• Undertaken a key role in the successful shaping, sale and delivery of business or IT transformation engagements (c.£1m – c.£40m total contract value) and / or Managed IT services (up to c. £100m total contract value)
• Systems integration and / or consultancy / advisory experience including demonstratable industry knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

1. Energy network markets, e.g. DNOs
2. Water wholesale markets, e.g. water & wastewater organisations
3. Utility retail markets, e.g. energy suppliers and / or water retailers
4. Utilities Central Market Operations, e.g. industry bodies
