Position Sr. Solution Architect – Service Assurance

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Solution Architect with Software Development Skills is a highly specialized individual that that will be requested to analyse and develop the application roadmap as well as review all project impacts. The Lead Architect will be responsible for the overall design of the application including and not limited to sizing, security and hardening.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As part of the IT delivery team, working on various projects and program epics, the Solution Architect will be responsible to assist the features (stories) development for her/his application portfolio. These features will addressed all requirements and acceptance criteria of our operational partners. Including but not limited to:
• Establishing the delivery priorities and timelines with the Business Owners and Product Owners
• Creating and documenting features and stories base on the user requirements, program objectives and target architecture
• Providing assistance during system design and feature creation sessions with the Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Owners
• Analysing the existing systems
• Guiding the team in the creation and maintaining of automated test cases
• Supporting the development teams in the delivery of the program epics and features

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Critical Qualifications
• At least 10 years experience
• Experience in system and application design Backend and Frontend
• Software Development Knowledge of Spring, Node js, Typescript, React
• Strong knowledge of Linux, VM, OpenShift, Oracle Database and Dev-ops
• Experience in designing and leading a Development team
• Experience in Internet Service Assurance

• Service Assurance processes / Network Architecture for Telcos
• Modern and Responsive UI development
• Microservices based architecture
• Scrum Agile and SAFe methodologies
• Capacity to manage numerous complex projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing working environment
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Atlassian application suite: Jira, Confluence

Competencies:
• Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information System management or related disciplines


Working Conditions:
• Ability to work efficiently in virtual teams, handling multiple projects with geographically dispersed team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing working environment
• Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet hard deadlines and ability to work occasional overnights to take part in deployment activities.
• Ability to travel within Montreal and Toronto corridors depending on project needs
