Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a highly qualified Configuration/Data Manager (CM) in the Huntsville, AL area supporting an Army client. The ideal candidate will be team oriented and will be able to meet challenging deadlines. The ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret level security clearance is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Apply technical and administrative direction to identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of a product the through control of changes made to hardware, software, and firmware documentation (including specifications).
• Assist in the creation of non-commercial (and commercial) drawings/models, and associated lists; and manage the coordination of their review/disposition using the Multi-User ECP Automation Review System (MEARS)
• Work with Engineers in the creation of Request for Variances (RFVs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), which includes: Notice of Revisions (NORs), Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Engineering Release Records (ERRs). Manage the coordination of their review/disposition using MEARS.
• Planning and participating in Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
• Develop and defend CM input for Contract Requirements Packages (CRPs) to include: Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), and Document Summary List (DSL), which includes tailoring the Data Item Description (DID) requirements as needed.
• Receive and review contractor submitted data deliverables which, include but are not limited to CM Plans (CMP), Audit Plans, drawings, and change documentation.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) working Government personnel, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve CM issues as needed.
• Facilitate meetings, reviews or associated CM activities for the program office.
• Act as the MEARS Program POC by assisting with User Requests/Permissions and managing the various MEARS Distributions.
• Provide support to the Acquisition Process for purchases of spare/repair parts (DLA 339 Requests, PreTechs, & Live Buys) by providing the technical justification with Technical Certifications in the Interactive Configuration Management & Procurement Program (ICAPP).
• Manage and issue official Government document numbers for ERRs/ECPS and non-commercial drawings.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• At least 3 years experience in Configuration Management along with an undergraduate degree or 6 years of Configuration management experience and high school degree are required.
• Knowledge of current Department of Defense drawing standards and Configuration Management Military and Commercial Standards is preferred
• Working knowledge of DoD Acquisition Processes
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work several high-priority tasks simultaneously
• Per Federal Requirement, Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
