Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a System Analyst (Financial Engineer) to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Connect the data to the business processes
• Data mapping, data ingestion, and ETL process development
• Collect and validate the existing data architecture; validate the new data architecture.
• Evaluate data quality
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies in the ​work process and innovative approaches to completing the scope of work
• Participate in team problem-solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
• Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Background in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Forecasting, and/or Software Engineering experience working with Agile technology development teams to implement internal software systems
• Strong SQL programming skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a bigger team
• Skills related to Programming including coding, debugging and using a relevant programming language
• AWS services, Python/Java
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate complex topics in a meaningful manner
• Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
• Skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict

Desired qualifications
• Finance, Risk Management, and Mortgage productions knowledge is preferred
• Experience in Financial Analysis pertaining to Counterparty Risk Management will be a big plus

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
​Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related or equivalent​
AWS Certification(s) desired
