Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an expert in UI architecture and development to join its Healthcare Practice and to lead a large team of Angular professionals. The UI architect will provide direction and subject matter expertise on integration architectures and technologies such as SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), Web Services, Micro Services, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.

**This position must be filled in US Eastern or Central time zones only**

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provides subject matter expertise in UI architecture technical disciplines
•Meet timelines with quality deliverables utilizing best practices for UX driven development
•Accepts and manages ambiguity and complexity, as well as the changing requirements and expectations as business perspectives evolve as more relevant information surfaces
•Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative UX solutions.
•Work with User Experience design to iterate and implement Web UI for highly horizontally scalable, distributed services that run in public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructures
•Design, document, and architect a modern highly responsive web-based user interface for Micro Services based web application and using the Micro Frontend framework.
•Mentor UI developers, which may include performing code reviews, test driven development (TDD), guiding through change, and empowering to follow best coding standards, processes, and practices.
•Develop fast and highly scalable websites, develop the latest user-facing features using Angular and latest JavaScript standards and best practices.
•Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum 8+ years of UI Architect experience with "hands-on" design experience in Enterprise Web Applications using Angular v8 or above
• Experience leading and coaching a team of UI developers
• Skills in one or more frameworks/libraries like jQuery or Bootstrap
• Experience in developing complex Angular applications, directives, controllers, services
• Writing non-blocking, loosely coupled code and restoring to advanced techniques when needed
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git/GitHub
• Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role

Desired Qualifications
• Good understanding of AJAX, TypeScript, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, Mocha
• Experience with client-side libraries on internationalization, localization, and unit tests
• Experience writing S-508 compliant code is a plus
• Understanding of java web application technology stack (core Java, spring core, Spring MVC, Hibernate, REST)
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools, and continuous integration using Maven and Jenkins

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - $161,600
