Your future duties and responsibilities:

This position will focus on the development of data management solutions. Sometimes it will be building upon existing solutions for the enterprise, and other times creating new complex data automation at the direction of a Data Architect. The responsibilities of this role include the following:
• Development, testing, change & configuration management, and automated deployment of data management solutions – data ingestion, data transformation, data virtualization, data model, interfaces, databases, etc.
• System integration across foundational data sources, the on-premise and cloud platforms they reside within, and other third-party data solutions.
• On-going support for the healthy, reliable, and performant operation of the data management solutions, and products and features that grow up upon them. Also, backstopping peers in this regard.
• Follow the data security and data governance processes that must be established and implemented to successfully operate data management solutions across the enterprise.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• The most important thing you will need is a passion for learning new things and solving new problems because that’s what we do! As a consultant, you will also need strong written and verbal communication skills to work with your team and our clients.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines, preferably SSIS and Data Factory
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably Azure, ADLS Gen 2, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics
• Experience working with large datasets, data lakes (lakehouse), and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Synapse, Databricks, or similar
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps Pipelines for deployment automation of data solutions.
• Experience leveraging, designing, and building database schemas for analytics (preferably SQL Server and Oracle)

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Spark (PySpark/Python)
• Experience designing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
• Experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Databricks
• Participate in driving best practices around data engineering and software development process
• Understand data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques
• Experience with a range of Azure services, including Infrastructure and Security related services such as Azure AD, IaaS, Containers, Storage, Networking, and Azure Security
• Familiarity with designing and building Azure data platforms supporting both batch and real-time (event-based) architecture for cloud data platforms is considered a strong plus
• Familiarity with big data platforms, tools, Kafka, predictive modeling, machine learning, etc. is considered a strong plus
