We are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) who is as passionate about our vision as we are. You will be working as a part of our cross functional teams of individuals who have a deep understanding of their technical specialty and at the same time can work outside of their comfort zone. Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support and interact with data scientists and data engineers
• Accomplish improvement in performance, reliability, and automation levels
• Resolve incidents and change requests
• Write technical documentation and apply best practices
• Keep up with trends and evolving technology in the big data and analytics world
• Look for opportunities to improve performance, reliability and automation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Skills
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Scala)
• Databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Neo4J, Stardog, Elasticsearch)
• Continuous integration, deployment, and delivery
• Containerization / Container Orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes)
• Data Science Tooling (e.g. Jupyter, R-Studio, Zeppelin)
• Software engineering / Continuous integration, deployment and delivery

Desirable but not required Skills
• Linux incl. Scripting (Bash, Python)
• Experience with Amazon AWS and/or MS Azure Cloud
• Distributed systems (e.g. Spark)
• Event Based systems (e.g. Kafka)
• Infrastructure as code / Deployment and configuration automation
• Software engineering / Continuous integration, deployment and delivery
• Solid knowledge in GIT version control system

Other Skills
• Bachelor (BSc), Master (MSc) or equivalent experience in a technical field (for example, Computer Science, Engineering...)
• Experience with common agile working tools (e.g. Jira, Slack, Confluence, Git)
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools
• Team player open to work in an agile environment
• Fluent command of German and English
