Your day-to-day activities
Together with your team you are responsible for the day-to-day operational management of multiple applications used by our clients. You will be working in close co-operation with stakeholders and you will be actively participating in the extension of the capabilities of these applications by deploying and configuring new features, components and releases in a controlled way.
Also, your team is ultimately responsible for making sure that the applications and the platform as a whole comply with standards for security and risk.
We operate according to the Scrum Agile development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering successful IT solutions. Our focus is on high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development with regular milestone demos to the business, so that at the end there are no surprises about what we build.
What you need to be successful in this role
You are a passionate IT engineer with excellent technical and soft skills. You believe that business value is delivered by Agile top engineers working together in high performing DevOps teams, according to the Scrum framework. Further:
• You continuously learn and take full ownership of your personal development. You are
curious and understand the latest developments in the technical and financial services.
• You actively share knowledge with your colleagues.
• You have a good understanding of banking in general or you are passionate about
learning it. If you have any Payments knowledge this is a big plus.
• You are able to actively participate in product refinement sessions with your team,
Product Owner and other stakeholders.
You will be working in a highly technical environment. Therefor your personal skills should (for a large part) match the ones one the following list:
• Linux lifecycle management (patching, capacity- & performance management, etc.).
• Linux (bash scripting).
• Java (Application Maintenance).
• Database Maintenance (Oracle or similar).
• ELK + Graphite/Grafana and Prometheus script and dashboard development.
• Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration: Ansible, Artifactory, GIT,
Azure DevOps, etc.
• Proficient in English language (both written and (clearly) spoken).
• Team player, good social skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• You are naturally someone who works accurately and precisely.
We offer you a permanent contract, so that you immediately have job security. Part-time work, for example 32 or 36 hours per week, is negotiable, we are happy to offer you that flexibility.
