CGI UK Careers - Be Part of Our Story

Position Description:

These are exciting times for CGI. We are doing something different, creating Human Centred Design pods. It’s a great time to join the team us as a UI Developer – we are changing the way we look, behave and do business. As a result, we're looking for a talented individual who can help deliver these new and innovative projects.

What are we looking for from you? You will be someone who already makes a difference, we will give you the freedom and responsibility to continue doing so.

You will already know how to develop user interfaces which users will prefer to use, and you will help shape our culture, inspire our customers and colleagues alike and be prepared to be an evangelist within CGI.

Also you will be part of a fast-growing, pioneering working environment as we expand our capability to meet the increasing demand from our clients.

We're offering the best of both worlds – you will be joining a new, vibrant start-up type business but also having the comfort of being part of a large, financially stable organisation.

As the UI Developer you will undertake activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the user requirements and any wider programme. During engagements you will work as part of the project team following the direction, guidance and approach for the Pod from the UX Strategist.

You must already hold, or be prepared to undergo, National Security Vetting (NSV) enhanced Security Check (SC) level.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Working as a UI Developer you will join a collaborative team, performing design and development activities for web-based user interface applications and delivering high quality software iteratively within an Agile environment. You'll follow best development practices with quality in delivery at the heart of everything we do; utilising a pipeline delivery model for automation through to deployment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You will have previous commercial experience of front end development / software engineering within an agile environment. Proficiency with the following technologies is required...

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
• Angular or React or Vue
