Position Description:

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will work with GM Estate Management team in support of platform migration activities. You will participate in client service delivery engagements by acting as a SME/technical expert, overseeing the successful implementation of the solution architecture, building relationships with the stakeholders and identifying additional potential opportunities to bring value to the client. Where necessary, Infrastructure Architect will assist with activities related to the technical qualification and the documentation of client requirements.


Required Experience & Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field of study, or equivalent years of experience

• 10 years of experience as a solutions design subject matter expert

• 5 years of experience working with enterprise solutions teams in Banking/ Financial Industry

• Subject Matter Expert level experience in at least one of the three areas below:

o SPARC/Solaris

o Public/Private Cloud

o Business Apps Lifecycle

o Databases (Oracle/Sybase/SQL)

• MS Project and MS Project Server project management experience

• Red Hat Linux/SUSE Linux

• VM (P2V), ULL System

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Work closely with the EM, DevOps, AppDev and delivery teams to guide solutions as necessary through SOW, project initiation and solution realization
•Analyze specifications and map to expertly-designed technology solutions
•Coordinate with delivery teams to mitigate risk, address technical challenges and remain within scoped timelines and budgets
•Oversee the delivery of the solution offering, ensure that the architecture is properly implemented and provisioned
•Develop relationships with client stakeholders to understand their business challenges and identify additional opportunities for New Signature offerings
•Maintain alignment with EM delivery practice corresponding to your primary subject matter expertise area
•Evaluate completed projects for optimization and coordinate with team leads to update project types and offerings for future iterations

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Strong analytical skills in order to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and drive projects to completion

•Detail oriented with good organizational skills

•Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, and to connect technological solutions with measurable business value
•Ability to think clearly and articulate solutions catering to multiple demanding stakeholders

•Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interaction with all levels of client staff and internal teams
