Position Description:

This is a great opportunity to become a member of CGI, based in Victoria, to provide leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a full-time team member to perform the role of BizTalk Developer.

The BizTalk Developer’s primary role will be to work closely with our customers in the day to day delivery of their applications that require BizTalk support and working with our CGI internal team as we continue to support the client's environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, estimating, coding, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting and debugging of complex applications within an Enterprise environment
• Collaborating with team members (analysts, designers and system owners) in the delivery of new and support of existing interfaces and applications
• Creating and executing functional integration test plans
• Ensuring project deliverables are met according to specifications
• Participating in business analysis / design and preparation of detailed specifications of programs where needed
• Working within defined processes and methodologies
• Interacting with clients of various levels and managing client expectations in terms of functionality, schedule, and quality
• Articulating alternatives and recommendations to clients; responding to their needs and challenges
• Responding to client support requests within acceptable timeframes

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Capabilities:

• Ability to troubleshoot issues in a technical environment (intermediate)
• Intermediate level working knowledge of SQL including working experience with

o SQL Server Management Studio, and
o TOAD or SQL Navigator (Oracle)

• Intermediate level working knowledge of BizTalk
• Intermediate level working knowledge of remote Windows Server Administration
• Intermediate level knowledge in IIS
• Intermediate knowledge in ASP.Net and VB.Net
• Help Desk support
• Effective communication

Technologies:

• BizTalk
• SQL
• ASP.Net
• VB.Net
• Windows Server
• Windows Services
• Subversion (SVN)
• Nagios (nice to have but not required)

Nice to Have:

• Experience within a Professional Services and/or Government application development environment
• Experience supporting production implementations within a Professional Services and/or Government environment
• Microsoft certifications
