Position Description:

Exciting opportunity to work as a QA test engineer helping client deploy additional functionality for their Insurance Agents Business Portal. You will work as part of a small team of 4 resources in Wausau and engage remotely with BA, developers, PM, and test coordinator at the client. The role will be to develop, document and execute test cases. Work with the test coordinator to document issues, defects to be reported back to the development team. They will be an exciting project as the client has seen great success from their phase 1 deployment of the application. End user are excited and anxious for the new functionality. It will be a fast paced / high profile project to work on.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Test engineers will take direction from client Project Manager / Lead Test Coordinator
• Test engineers will develop test cases and execute those test cases against the overall test plan developed by client
• Report to the test coordinator the results of testing and assist in preparing status reports for review at the project level
• Assist in performing triage on failed test cases to help identify defects for reporting to development teams
• Recommendations to client test coordinator on testing process and test plan to assist in efficient execution of the overall test plan
• Types of testing that may be performed: Functional front end testing, UI testing, Web services and data validation testing, general Quality Assurance testing

• Work with lead test coordinator on defining test strategy and plan. Can take responsibility and perform the following:
• Lead the development of test cases/scripts, test execution, and validation of results
• Lead the development and execution of the problem reporting process
• Develop and perform manual testing.
• Interacts with other team members and clients to ensure quality solution
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
• Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance

QA Test Engineer: 3-5 years

• P&C Insurance experience: 2+ years
• Test Automation experience: 1+ year
