Descrição da Função:
The Accountant position requires an individual to have a minimum of 2-5 years of applicable experience and a degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field. Qualified candidates should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of general technical accounting principles. Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with the Controller and other finance members within CGI Federal.
Os teus futuros deveres e responsabilidades:
• Performs accounting activities for month-end close including intercompany transfers, prepaid schedules, capitalization and amortization entries and other balance sheet related activities
• Reconcile balance sheet schedules to ensure compliance, accuracy and support all ongoing audits
• Identify, research and resolve any accounting discrepancies
• Provide guidance and direction on technical accounting treatment for real estate transactions
• Document and maintain financial controls and accounting procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Ensure all transactions are in compliance with GAAP, IFRS and CGI policies
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller
