Position Description:

The Vmware consultant role is an operational support role and will require participation to the new installation projects in a complex landscape. The consultant will be part of a large technical team (20 members), but will work more closely with the senior Vmware consultant responsible for the existing landscape. The working environment is very dynamic and stimulating.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The chosen candidate should get strong communication skills in French and English (oral and written) and demonstrate the following skills:
- Hold a college degree with a specialisation in computer science or an equivalent certificate.
- Hold a Recognized certification in VMware area.
- Support and optimization of the VMware environment in order to fulfill our client needs.
- Knowledge of optimal utilization of VMware tools and technology.
- Strong communication skills in order to adapt technical language to a non technical audience
- Strong skills in problem solving and in providing solutions and applying it properly.
- Capacity to collaborate in process design (operational and administrative). Ability to write standards and Method of procedure (such as Run book, user guide, etc…)
- Good leadership, diplomacy and result oriented.
- Autonomous and ability to work on unclear circumstances;
- Strong client oriented skills;
- Priority Management skills;
- Knowledge of Cisco OS, Windows and Linux is an asset.

Furthermore, the VMware consultant will have to participate to the « on call » rotation in order to perform the Off hour support (outside of 8am-5pm).
