Position Description:

The role requires at least 1 year of business analyst experience - involved in software development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through testing. Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design is a plus. The role requires strong systems analysis skills and strong communication skills as the individual will be interfacing with the various teams, programmer analysts, and an offshore development team. The right candidate will be responsible for understanding the full project lifecycle to successfully deliver quality work products on-schedule and will need to juggle numerous tasks simultaneously, as well as coordinate communication with colleagues and report risk and status to team lead or manager.

Essential Skills Required:

• At least 1 year of business analyst experience preferably using object oriented concepts
• Strong analysis skills. Ability to effectively analyze, design, test.
• Ability to comprehend business requirements and designs and write test cases
• Testing skills and understanding of testing methodologies.
• Experience working on development projects
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to assess and communicate status and risk of own assignments
• Ability to coordinate with colleagues
• Ability to interface with clients
• Written and oral fluency in the English language
• Proactive, takes initiative
• Dedicated to quality assurance practices; high quality track record
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work independently

Nonessential Skills Desired:

• Object Oriented analysis and design
• Exposure to, knowledge of, experience with automated testing tools, techniques, methodologies.
• Experience working with remote teams
