CGI seeks a self-starting, independent Contracts management professional. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years’ contracts negotiation and proposal support experience, possessing a solid understanding of legal concepts applicable to the State and Local government and commercial market in the information technology industry (i.e. products and services).
• Lead contract negotiations for complex IT contracts for State and Local government entities;
• Serve as a key member of the Capture/ Proposal team to review requests for proposals (RFPs) and contracts, providing contract risk assessments as part of the proposal process and drafting contract changes for and during negotiations; • Careful and logical development and/or review of contractual documents in concert with management and proposal teams including Non-disclosure, Teaming, Subcontract, and Services agreements and Statements of Work; • Review and negotiation of License and Maintenance agreements including agreements involving third party sublicensing arrangements; • Assist internal clients in developing negotiation and risk mitigation strategies as part of proposal preparation and during contract execution for complex IT contracts; and • Maintain close working relationships with Business Unit leadership team, sales and delivery managers, internal Legal Counsel as well as other internal core services groups necessary to achieve comprehensive review and risk assessment (security, tax, insurance, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in business or similar field from an accredited university;
• Solid working knowledge of commercial and public sector contracting practices in the IT industry (e.g., software licensing, intellectual property rights, acceptance, warranties, liabilities, indemnifications, remedies); • Ability to work through business issues as well as legal issues; • Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; • Pragmatic, flexible negotiation style; • Team player, collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills; and • Strong organizational, analytical and communication (oral and written) skills. • Experience with outsourcing or managed services transactions a plus. #L1-AC2
