Position Description:

We are excited to have been awarded this $20M Business transformation project for our client in the Utilities Industry .

As a result of a merger our client is the second largest utilities service provider in all of north America- providing services to 1 million customers, from Hamilton to north of Toronto.
The most important project identified during their merger was to do the business transformation and create one platform, for customer care and billing .

This in turn would reduce costs from currently having four platforms, and improve the consistency and quality of their customer billing and usage information.

The location: Vaughn , Ontario.

We are looking for a Release Manager to be part of this business transformation project;


• Defines/designs the overall release management and Environment allocation strategy.

• Designs, develops, unit tests and implements build automation scripts including environment configuration validation processes.

• Responsible for the setup, maintenance and support of various development and support environments.

• Owns the release management, works closely with PMO on production releases and plans implementation dates and facilitates resolution on impacts to various projects/enhancements being implemented on the same day.

• Resource should be able to gather project requests and fulfil environment requests, as well as, manage releases ensuring there are no conflicts with other systems.

Skills to have:

• Build Automation for Java/.Net using Jenkins/Hudson.

• Develop Scripts to automate build.

• SubVersion Administration to manage code.

• Release Management on projects being delivered.

• Environment allocations for projects.

• Managing configurations for test environments.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Project co-ordination to manage release mgmt. meetings.

• Experience working with global delivery teams.
