Position Description:

CGI has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Programmer Analyst with a current Government of Canada SECRET security clearance in Ottawa.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

6.1. Develop PeopleSoft modules using Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools.
6.2. Modify, enhance and support PeopleSoft modules.
6.3. Provide functional evaluation and consultation business requirements within the existing system and defining a clear technical direction.
6.4. Review and analyze change requests and assess the impact to the existing system.
6.5. Propose cost-effective solutions to meet functional requirements.
6.6. Build prototypes or working models to demonstrate solutions to technical problems or functional requirements.
6.7. Provide technical input and consultation for functional fit-gap of business requirements within the existing system.
6.8. Design and implement security in accordance with the functional requirements.
6.9. Design, develop and implement reports using a variety of technical solutions including SQR, XML Publisher and Application Engine.
6.10. Design, develop and implement reports to meet various business needs.
6.11. Design, develop and implement system interfaces using a variety of technical solutions including SQR, XML Publisher and Application Engine.
6.12. Provide consultation to the Quality Assurance Team for technical and functional implementation design decisions to ensure adequate quality assurance.
6.13. Provide knowledge transfer for the modules and technologies as they are implemented.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The ideal candidate will have PeopleSoft experience and the appropriate demonstrated experience for a Senior Programmer Analyst.
