Position Description:

We are currently conducting a search for a Senior Consultant,J2EE Team Lead with at least five years of experience to be part of our Telecommunications vertical-
Location : 150 Commerce Valley Drive Markham

The ideal candidates will want to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where he or she will work on technical integration-oriented projects as well as Proof-Of-Concept.

The candidate will want to be on the cutting edge of system integration technologies, exploring exciting areas of our clients and CGI’s future business while keeping up the standard of being leaders in the industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Leading and contributing to analysis, design, development and testing of various java based application components.
* Assist project manager with technical tasks
* Leading technical teams (developers on-shore/off-shore) and SA’s
* Deployment planning/coordination
* Interface with customers and setting expectations
* Plan, define and develop proof of concepts (POCs)

Required Education:
* University/College Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline


Required Soft Skills:
* Strong written and verbal communications
* Ability to partner with customers to identify needs and apply appropriate technical solutions
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to build consensus and manage relationships
* Excellent problem solving and decision making skills in a technical environment
* Solid knowledge of the project development and software development life cycle
* Team Player



Required Technical Skills:
* Senior Java 6+/J2EE developer with experience in EJBs, and common open source industry frameworks
* Solid experience with Web Sphere java packages and environment
* Experience with IBM Business Process Manager
* Experience with an IBM industry content pack; preferably the Telecom Operations Content Pack (TOCP)
* Knowledge of Java Application structure using IBM SCA (or Spring)
* Good working knowledge of DBMS; preferably Oracle
* Extensive experience in:
* Database access and other connectors: JDBC, JCA
* SOAP and REST Web Services (creating, using and publishing Web services)
* JMS
* Extensive experience with development and testing tools:
* Using SOAP UI to create and use WSDLs and to create batch building scripts
* Experience with ant or maven
* Building automated unit testing in Java environments
* Experience with IDEs and associated tools for development and testing (ex. Eclipse, IBM Integration Designer, IBM Process Designer)
* Experience with java annotations
*Experience using source control in mutli-releases and multi-developers environment (ex. SVN, CVS, VSS, etc.)
*Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and UML notation
Required Work Experience:





Desirable Skills:
* Experience developing applications for Telecom businesses
* Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA)
* Experience using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment paradigm and software environment (ex: Jenkins)
* Experience with Java Code Quality tools and process (ex: Sonar)
* Experience with remote debugging and remote profiling of Java Web apps deployed in App Servers
* Experience with IBM Rational Development environment
* At least 1 year of BPM-SOA hands-on experience
