Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Must be a hands on Automation Tester, working on Geographically spread Teams interacting with Developers, Tech Leads, Product Owners on a daily basis

• Created Automated Functional/Regression testing scripts for new/existing projects, using HP UFT/QTP

• Ability to pick up things fast, add/append to existing automation frameworks & create automated tests as required

• Ability to work under minimal supervision

• Ability to suggest innovative automation approaches to the Client, based on past experiences & by leveraging best practices on Test automation

• Design & develop automated Test cases, create/triage & track defects till closure

• Participate on defect triage meetings with the Client stake holders

• Perform any additional Manual testing (Functional testing, Regression testing) as required

• Ability to create & maintain traceability matrices

• Ability to work on multiple projects/teams, with changing priorities

• Expert knowledge on HP UFT/QTP, ALM

• Creating automated tests for smoke testing for multiple Test environments & get involved in Test environment planning/management

• Creating, executing SQL queries, running Batch jobs

• Participate in code creation, testing, and enhancement activities

• Identify and prepare test data, manage test data

• Ensure quality processes and standards are followed

• Execute/maintain service test scripts per test cycle activities as defined in the test plan

• Identify, log, and follow-up on all defects encountered

• Perform additional system testing-related activities, as required

• Communicate progress of testing activities to the Test Manager or directly to client

• Pitch in on other functional/non- functional testing activities as required

• Produce “client-facing” and “CGI-internal” status reports, as required

• Participate in lessons learned reviews

• Participate in pertinent team training activities

• Maintain solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminologies

• Coaching & mentoring junior resources in the areas of Testing, specifically Automation Testing

• Work with the QA leadership team to define metrics, and report status of virtualized assets weekly

Required Level of Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Business OR Diploma in IT and/or Business with equivalent IT experience

• Industry recognized testing certification(s)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 6+ yrs of hands on automation testing experience is a must

• 4+ yrs working on scripting tests using HP UFT/QTP is a must

• 5+ yrs working with JIRA, ALM, Redmine or other Project/Test Management Tools

• 5+ yrs working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)



Nice to Have:

• Prior Java development experience

• ISTQB Certified

• Maven or Gradle experience

• Experience with either Selenium, CA Lisa, Parasoft SOA Test or SOAP UI would be a great plus

• Experience using JSON and XML formats would be a bonus

• Prior experience working on Agile Scrum Teams would be an added advantage

• Test environment planning/managing is a great plus



Travel Requirements:

• Business Travel to the US might be required time to time

• Holding a valid B1 Visa to the USA would be a great plus
