Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards in the Earth Observation domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and scope, ensuring alignment with organizational and client expectations.
- Serve as the primary contact point for Earth Observation projects, maintaining effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Earth Observation experts, data scientists, software developers, and clients.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Proactively manage and resolve conflicts arising from competing priorities within the project team and with external stakeholders. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks strategically to align with project goals.
- Manage project milestone review process ensuring on time and high quality of the deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative project team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Contribute actively to business development, by developing good relationships with the customers and supporting the analysis of bids opportunities.
- Stay current with advancements in Earth Observation technologies and methodologies, applying best practices to project execution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Excellent communication skills (English), with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
- Financial project management, ensuring delivery with budget, scope, timeliness, managing payment milestones, revenue generation, profitability.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Technical Project Manager, specifically in Earth Observation projects.
-Solid understanding of remote sensing technologies, satellite imagery, and geospatial analysis
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Desirable qualifications

- Familiarity with IT Big Data and Cloud domain, e.g. parallel and distributed processing, containers and container orchestration
- Familiarity with OGC standards
- Familiarity with ECSS Standards
- Familiarity with AI technologies
- PMP or other project management certifications

This is a permanent contract position with the possibility to do part of the work activity in smart working.
