Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead team in defining, documenting, and maintaining Network Architecture standards encompassing Core Switching, Access/Distribution, Routing, Firewalls, Load balancers, and Inter-DC communication by evaluating tech and vendors for cost, performance, and resilience.
• Conceptualize, plan, design, and aid implementation of robust, integrated, highly-available, fault-tolerant, automated network architecture for shared CGI managed infrastructure.
• Understand Client business, technical environments, and CGI managed infrastructure.
• Bridge Client needs, technical solutions, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with Client Engagement Manager to nurture client relationships and account growth.
• Assist proposal and solution teams in creating target architectures, solutions, and strategies.
• Document Network Architecture proposals and guide Infrastructure Delivery teams through design and deployment strategy.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure delivery teams to refine solutions for Client needs.
• Define, document, and manage redundant, cost-effective, high-performing network standards for:
o Internet and Inter-DC Connectivity
o Core Switching, Access, Distribution Infrastructure
o Firewall, Load balancer, Network Security Architecture
• Lead multiple projects, guide resources, and oversee solution process quality.
• Develop technology roadmaps and annual plans.
• Evaluate new solutions, technologies for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Provide technical consultation to clients and IT management for efficient application systems.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5 + years of experience supporting medium to large size Network infrastructure from design, management and support perspective.
• 5+ years of solid Network Architecture design and solid hands-on experience with Data Centre technologies and Cisco ACI
• 5+ years of solid Security experience, specifically with NGN firewalls and ISE solutions
• 5+ years of SD-WAN experience specifically Viptela, VeloCloud
• Solid understanding of IP and Ethernet networking technologies including solid understanding of network protocols (IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRRP etc.)
• Solid hands-on experience and familiarity with multiple network vendor technologies (Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Citrix, etc.)
• Ability to assess virtualization, Network Infrastructure and automation.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (Public, Private and Hybrid)
• Ability to communicate technical proposals to internal and external technical teams and management.
• Ability to perform well in a dynamic environment, with on-time delivery
• Ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts
• Ability to identify issues (or potential ones) to mitigate potential loss of revenue
• Experience designing network infrastructures supporting hosted operations within large-scale, global deployments.
• Experience in system architecture or systems engineering for integration into IP-based network infrastructures
• Intimate knowledge in current IT technologies including F5, Windows, Linux, VMware, Cisco Network Equipment, Juniper
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Attention to detail with methodical problem-solving approach

Education level:

• Degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum ten years of solid, diverse work experience in IT including experience with systems and infrastructure architecture methodologies.
• Some previous project leadership experience is desirable.
• Applicable certifications preferred.
