Position Description:

As part of several systems development projects at a government sector client in Montreal, CGI is looking for a System/Software Architecture to join CGI is looking for a software architect with experience in design of web applications and based on “Cloud Native” type architectures and relying on microservices. The candidate will join CGI's cloud solutions center of expertise and will act as a consultant to CGI clients and will be in charge of designing solutions in the projects where he will be assigned. The software architect is responsible for software architecture activities and deliverables and works in close collaboration with developers, functional analysts and the solution architect. Among its activities there are several including (non-exhaustive):

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Proofs of concepts;
- Documentation of the solution (organic/software architecture)
- Estimates and support for work planning
- Support to the production team (development or integration of solutions)
- Participate in calls for proposals (internal CGI)
- Sales support (internal CGI)
CGI has several project start-up opportunities for one of its Montreal clients and is looking for a candidate available quickly to participate in projects using Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Job requirements:
- Required: Hold an undergraduate university degree (BAC) in computer science or information systems or software development or the equivalent. Candidates who have studied outside Quebec must possibly provide proof of diploma equivalence granted by the MIFI.
- Required: Have at least ten (10) years of experience in information technology, including at least six (6) years as a software architecture advisor
- Required: Have five (5) years of experience in a mandate carried out in a technological environment among the following: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 or more, REST services, SQL servers, C# and Angular
- Required: Have two (2) years of experience, as an organic architecture advisor, in the development of transactional and informational sites using Microsoft .NET Core, Azure CosmosDB, Azure Service Bus or Azure Grid, Azure Web Apps or Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, or Azure App Configuration
- Have two (2) years of experience, as an organic architecture advisor, in the development of transactional and informational sites using Power Platform technologies, or CRM Dynamics 2013 or later; Have two (2) years of experience in a Microsoft Azure environment using Azure DevOps and GIT
- Required: Have experience in two (2) projects in a multi-platform environment with client/server and transactional Web technologies, developed using an Object-oriented and Agile approach and using an n-tier service-oriented architecture (SOA). ).
- Asset: Expertise with UML and Use Cases
- Asset: Expertise with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, leadership experience on complex files and be able to communicate at various levels of management.
