Your future duties and responsibilities:
Your regular tasks as a network technician will involve various challenges, ranging from installing devices at the client's site to troubleshooting for our clients around the world. You will be engaging with clients daily, where you will be involved in planning and implementing changes in our clients’ environments or participating in projects as part of our network team.
As a network technician, you are responsible for configurating and troubleshooting our clients' IT environments, either as part of our IT operational organization or within projects. This includes products from major network providers such as Cisco, Fortigate, and HP.
The role as network technician takes place close to our clients, either within projects or independently, always with the support of your team.
The role is placed in Kiruna. Travel may be part of the role, and on-call may be included. Shift work, both mornings and evenings, may also occur within the role.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
We would prefer that you have a strong drive and interest in networks as a whole - from physical cabling to radio links. Being able to work both independently and in a team should come naturally to you, and the willingness to share your knowledge with your team is important. We envision you as someone who is goal oriented, with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction.
The assignments you will be involved in may require you to undergo a background check in accordance with the Swedish Protection Act. Registry extract from the Police's criminal record will then be conducted. Having at least a B driver's license is a requirement.
We prefer that you have experience in several of the following areas:
• Knowledge in routing and switching
• Cisco's product portfolio
• Working in business-critical environments, production
• Conducting technical discussions with clients and vendors
• Network design (LAN, WAN)
• Network security
For this role, proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
If you have CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge, we consider it a merit.
