Teradata Senior DBA
Database Object Management: Creation and Analysis of various roles and profiles and should be able to do the profiling etc.
System Performance: System monitoring using view point, Performance tuning of queries, identified potential bottlenecks with queries from the aspects of query writing, skewed redistributions, join order, optimizer statistics, physical design considerations (PI and USI and NUSI and JI etc) etc. Analyzing explain
Workload Management” Resource partitions, classify and govern the query before its execution in the database. • Resource Monitoring,Database Query Log(DBQL) , ResUsage, Access Logging . Should be able to analyze workload and should be able to configure same in TASM.
Perform DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management, Performance Management & Reporting
Manage Production/Development databases in areas like Capacity Planning, Performance Monitoring & Tuning, Strategies Defined for Backup/Recovery Techniques, Space/ User/ Security Management Along With Problem Determination And Resolution.
Support Mainframe administrative functions including Teradata TDP connections..Support Unix/Linux level process, scripts, and tools for system management and data movement.Automation of support process using Unix / Linux Scripting, Teradata SPL, Python / Perl.
Error handling and trouble shooting of Teradata load/unload utilities like FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, Tpump, Arc/Restore. Working closely with DEV team and assisting them in data modeling.
Good knowledge in UNIX Shell scripting and using them to automate data warehouse jobs,
Work with Teradata GSO in resolving RDBMS/TMS/BAR related incidents.
Should have worked on Automation on various activities of Teradata .
Should support 24x7 production databases as well as development databases to ensure maximum availability of database resource for various applications
