Financial Analyst, Global Technology Operations
Position Description:
We have a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support the GTO business unit.
Reporting into the GTO Controllership group, you will be primarily responsible for collaborating with business unit leadership and finance colleagues to deliver accurate, timely and highly valued accounting and financial support.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare the annual budget for clients and analyze monthly gaps.
• Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive analyses of financial results and reconcile them with forecasts and budgets.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of accounting rules.
• Use different approaches and assumptions according to requests in order to compare and select the best solutions.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders (operations, management, and other financial analysts working directly with clients).
• Prepare ad hoc presentations and reports that meet the management team’s operational needs.
• Work closely with the centralized Corporate Financial Services team on financial close activities.
• Prepare and present financial analysis and validation of assumptions.
• Document selected solutions and processes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, and CPA designation (asset);
• Two to three years of experience in accounting/finance;
• Excellent command of spoken and written French and English.
• Experience in a complex and extensive accounting context, preferably in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Action-oriented, proactive individual with a high degree of accountability for delivering quality work.
• Proven ability to analyze structured and unstructured financial information.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Keen understanding of priorities and compliance with deadlines.
• Knowledge of Hyperion and PeopleSoft (asset).
