Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Web3 developer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting distributed Web3 applications. Your primary duties will include analyzing requirements, architecting Web3 solutions, and building and launching blockchain networks.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the federal data market and customer adoption of digital data, as well as expertise with distributed ledger technologies and a passion for driving enterprise data alignment to promote sharing, reuse, and ROI.
This role requires hands-on full-stack development experience across all SDLC phases. You will utilize advanced cryptographic mechanisms and primitives like Zero-knowledge proofs, secure multi-party computation, and fully homomorphic encryption to enable privacy-preserving computation and analytic.
This is an onsite role and can be located at any CGI office in the U.S. however, preferred location is Fairfax, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Research, design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
• Offer workshops and events to demystify Web3
• Apply secure scalable transaction technologies like Ethereum, Hyperledger, Tendermint
• Architect blockchain solutions using platforms like Ethereum, Hyper Ledger, Tendermint, etc.
• Design solutions leveraging Azure and/or AWS services like EC2, CloudWatch, Load Balancing, VPCs
• Perform requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, and implementation
• Collaborate with architects, domain experts, and other team members
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Expert understanding of blockchain architectures and consensus protocols, cryptographic primitives
• Deep knowledge and practice with advanced cryptographic tools and mechanisms
• Hands-on experience with Zero-knowledge proofs, secure multi-party computation, fully homomorphic encryption
• Expert in distributed data from diverse sources
• 5+ years of solid software development experience
• Proficiency in Go, Java, NodeJS, or related languages
• Experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger, Tendermint, or other blockchain platforms
• Knowledge of cryptography, distributed systems, and smart contract development
• AWS cloud experience including EC2, VPCs, and related services

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S.is $92,400 to $204,600
