Position Description:

The “Ansible Automation Engineer” is responsible for developing, administrating and maintaining automation scripts for applications used for Product Requirements and Test Management. You should have an ability to grasp new technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision. You need to be flexible and have a proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.

Main responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities for (Ansible) automation within R&D IT applications workflows/ processes.
• Collaborate across DevOps teams on requirements from DevOps teams on best automation solutions.
• Automate application setup / installation including required configuration updates, and patches.
• Automate application operational activities, including better monitoring, alerting and reporting.
• Scripting & testing, contributing to code reviews and validation of scripts developed by other developers.
• Develop and maintain/improve automated application test suites.
• Install applications and databases relevant to automation.
• Contribute to the support of the R&D IT applications (documentation writing and Tier2/3 level support to users).



Job qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science and preferable relevant technical experience of max 2 years.
- Proven experience implementing automation using Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform
- Should be well versed in Linux and Windows operating systems and able to implement automation in both
- Experience in Java and scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python, etc)
- Strong Linux command line and shell scripting skills
- web server administration such as Apache will be a plus.
- Automation "mindset"
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and logical skills
- Knowledge of agile development frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in using or supporting Product Requirements and Test Management tools is a plus
- Eager to work in an international environment
