Position Description:

We have a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner to support the Finland Poland Baltics Strategic Business Unit and assume the role and responsibilities of Data Protection Officer for CGI Suomi Oy.

The Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner is a CGI Corporate Privacy leadership position that reports to the Chief Privacy Officer and operates with the authority delegated from the SBU President, to manage the implementation and execution of CGI Global Privacy strategy and program within the SBU. The Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner is the primary point of contact in the SBU for all privacy and data protection related matters. The Strategic Business Unit Privacy Business Partner assists CGI operate within the law by advising and helping to monitor compliance.

The location of this role is Finland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Enablement:
• Build strong relationships with SBU President and Cabinet members to promote understanding and adoption of Data Privacy concepts.
• Oversee Privacy/Data Protection expertise for client opportunities, Third Party engagements, and internal projects.
• Propose solutions to align SBU with business objectives and comply with CGI Data Privacy Policy.
• Support Legal Business Partners and relevant stakeholders in reviewing Privacy/Data Protection commitments.
• Ensure SBU processes personal data in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Act as Data Privacy Tower Lead for Mergers and Acquisitions Program.
• Promote collaboration with other Privacy Business Partners and Centers of Expertise.

Global Privacy Compliance and Audit Support:
• Assume the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) for CGI Suomi Oy.
• Maintain independence as DPO and oversee implementation of CGI’s Data Privacy Policy.
• Inform and advise SBU on obligations to comply with Data Protection legislation.
• Monitor and report on Privacy Practices and Regulations impacting CGI and/or SBU.
• Control Global Privacy compliance of SBU and report identified risks and non-compliance.
• Oversee SBU compliance with CGI Global Privacy Program and local legislations.
• Support ISO 27701 certification rollout among the SBU.
• Contribute to internal and external audits on data privacy matters.
• Provide guidelines and propose action plans to improve compliance.
• Manage and report on SBU Privacy metrics.
• Oversee Data Processing Inventory completion for compliance with applicable laws.
• Be the first point of contact for relevant Data Protection Authorities/Regulators and Data Subjects.
• Collaborate with relevant Data Protection Authorities/Regulators.
• Manage SBU Data Subject Requests and ensure legal compliance.
• Support SBU security incident management involving personal data.
• Oversee required notifications to Data Protection Authorities/Regulators in case of Data breaches or violations.

Qualifications & Education:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with legal and technical expertise in Data Privacy.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in privacy, data protection, security, risk management, auditing, and/or compliance.
• GDPR Practitioner or relevant Privacy Professional certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, DPO, etc.).

EXPERIENCE
• Highly knowledgeable about Privacy and Data Protection Laws and Regulations, in particular EU GDPR, Finnish Data Protection Laws and Regulations and any Data-related legislation,
• Experience in leading teams in global organization and interacting with other corporate functions and leaders,
• Experience in communicating privacy-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff,
• Experience of working within a legal environment with basic contract knowledge is recommended,
• Have a deep understanding of the data protection regulatory landscape and industry best practices,
• Experience within IT and/or Security industry is an asset.
