The WiSE program accelerates the development of future women leaders by providing a customized experience for participants:
• Participate in a week of onboarding and integration activities starting on your first day at CGI, activities include:
- Business etiquette workshop
- Foundations of business consulting workshops
- Developing your elevator pitch workshop
- Networking with peers across Canada
• Exposure to leaders through interactive sessions and a 1:1 mentorship with a CGI woman leader
• Obtain the ScaledAgile SAFe for Teams Certification: Technical Skills Agility (ScaledAgile)SAFe for Teams will teach you all about your role on an Agile team and how agile teams work with others as part of an agile release train. Members learn how to plan and execute work, how to apply Scaled Agile Framework® and Agile principles, and how to continuously improve
• Expand your network by participating in national and local social activities with other co-ops
• Develop your own learning plan by leveraging our e-learning platform
• Participate in professional development workshops focused on soft skill development
• Participate in an AI hackathon where the top team wins a grand prize

The Role
This position is for an Automation Consultant to work as a member of the Insurance Information Services (IIS) Delivery/Operations group in Canada Industry Solutions Group (Insurance Sector).
Working closely with the Operations team, the incumbent will:
• Review manual processes within the Delivery/Operations team and replace with automation to make our processes more efficient/effective.
• Work with various groups (operations, new product development, test automation) to define requirements for automation opportunities.
• Use strong analysis and development skills to determine appropriate tools (UI Path, Katalon, Scripting languages, VBA etc.) to deliver required automation.
• Follow the SDLC cycle and CGI processes to ensure development, quality and delivery standards are met.
• Provide stakeholders transparency on automation tasks and status.
In an effort to foster collaboration and partner with clients, co-op students will be required to be at the office multiple times a week.

• Prepare and review requirements documentation for proposed automation.
• Implement POCs (proof of concept) and solutions based on automation requirements.
• Deliver solutions using the agile methodology.
Nødvendige kvalifikasjoner for å lykkes i denne rollen:
• Must be in a Co-op Accredited program.
• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science/IT or related IT discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to quickly understand the insurance industry and related products.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in one or many programming/scripting languages (Java/JavaScript/Groovy/ C#, VB script).
• Hands on SQL experience with relational databases.
• Nice to have: strong working experience in test automation tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, Cucumber BDD, Postman/SOAP UI for API testing.
• Nice to have: Experience in RPA Automation/UI Path.
• Experience with operating systems: Linux, Windows.
