The Accountant position requires an individual to have a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience and a degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field. Qualified candidates should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of general technical accounting principles. Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with the Controller and other finance members within CGI Federal.
Sus futuros deberes y responsabilidades:
• Performs accounting activities for month-end close including intercompany transfers, prepaid schedules, capitalization and amortization entries and other balance sheet related activities
• Reconcile balance sheet schedules to ensure compliance, accuracy and support all ongoing audits
• Identify, research and resolve any accounting discrepancies
• Provide guidance and direction on technical accounting treatment for real estate transactions
• Document and maintain financial controls and accounting procedures, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Ensure all transactions are in compliance with GAAP, IFRS and CGI policies
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller
