CGI is hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to support a client. Os teus futuros deveres e responsabilidades:
• Work with the Innovation Architect and the engineering team to understand and support them in various operational workflows and standard operating procedures, down to a granular, detailed level
• Maintain and Operate AWS Cloud Infrastructure in Optimal Configuration from both technical and budgetary perspectives • Experience refactoring or rebuilding on-premise applications/infrastructure and migration to AWS Cloud • Provide Functional Escalation Support and Expertise to the Incident Management Processes involving AWS Infrastructure or related issues • Provide input and guidance to Personnel and Cloud Architects/SMEs to the overall AWS Architecture and Design tenets • Compose and leverage AWS CloudFormation Templates for utilization, to ensure repeatable, sustainable AWS infrastructure is effectively managed • Deploy, test and document development, pre-production, and production environments • Train and mentor Junior Administrators and Engineers • Create Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) resources such as subnets, network access control lists, and security groups • Backup cloud and on-premise resources, including in a hybrid environment • Leverage resource tagging to allocate costs and optimize resource planning • Create gold images / AMIs and employ auto scaling • Assist in preparing cost analysis based on expected usage • Configure multi-factor authentication on virtual and hardware devices • Create IAM users and groups • Maintain availability of critical AWS Cloud infrastructure. To include configuration changes to AWS Cloud Services, adhere to compliance requirements, development/testing/production environments as approved and directed • Improve operational capabilities of enterprise infrastructure as approved and directed • Carry out project activities related to upgrades, new implementations, optimization, research and development, maintenance and long-term support of virtual environments, application systems, web systems, storage systems, hardware, servers, and cloud environments • Participate as a member of the Engineering Review Board responsible for analyzing and making recommendations to Requests for Changes (RFC) submitted through the Change Management process, coordinating responses to RFCs for impacts with internal and external stakeholders • Participate in the Change Control Board (CCB) weekly meetings and responsible for representing the team in getting approval on change requests • Lead the troubleshooting effort, conduct analysis of root cause and identify trends for Known Errors and coordinate actions to fix the error • Maintain high standards for consumer and customer service touch points affected by operations. • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks
Qualificações requeridas para ser bem sucedido neste role:
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience with Linux systems engineering and administration preferably in RedHat Linux with expertise in low level troubleshooting skills
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience with managing IT operation in an AWS based cloud environment • Experience with systems engineering and administration including configuration, networking, hardening, shells, package management and basic scripting • Experience with server level configuration management, including exposure to tools like Ansible and Puppet #cgifederaljob • Strong experience with CloudFormations and/or Terraforms • Expertise in systems monitoring, metrics reporting and troubleshooting • Good understanding and hands-on knowledge of information security fundamentals • Familiarity with web products and servers such as web servers, Internet performance tools, web search engines, directory services, switching technologies, DNS services and Internet security services. • Strong working knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalls • Networking (good understanding of TCP/IP stack, basic switching/routing concepts) • Scripting skills, Ruby, Python, PowerShell, Shell script • Knowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer, or MongoDB DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS List items desired for the Candidate, but not required. • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Federal Government experience • Certifications in RedHat Enterprise Linux • AWS cloud certifications
