Position Description:

CGI is looking for Jr. Security Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

The Jr. Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring computer networks and components to ensure they comply with client’s data security goals and policies. The individual will also be responsible for planning and implementing security controls. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with internal technology and business partners. Ideal candidate should be local to Richmond, VA or willing to relocate

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Support on a small team (3) that will provide support to local government entities (130+) as they work to improve their security maturity in alignment with newly adopted security standards based on NIST 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). This team will also assist by:

o Providing training on how to conduct Risk Assessments

o Answering questions related to completing the Center for Internet Security (CIS) EIAT & NCSR self-assessments

o Pro-actively review locality self-assessments and offer guidance accordingly

o Performing other duties as assigned and/or determined to add value.

• This role has the potential to also provide the same services for implementation of the following additional templates and security related standards:

o Information Security Program & Security System Plans (ISPP & SSP)

o Risk Assessment, Register & Mitigation Plans (RA & POA&M)

o Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)

o Business Impact Analysis (BIA)

o Incident Response Plan (IR)

• Communicates security policies and strategies to people of varying technical ability.

• Creates general user awareness notifications and trains users and promote security awareness to ensure system security.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 1-3 years experience in related field preferred

• Knowledge of networking, firewall, and VPN systems

• Knowledge of vulnerability management

• Knowledge of SIEM and system monitoring

• Knowledge of security best practices (NIST, SANS, DISA)

• Experience with GRC preferred

Preferred:

• Foundational security certification or Security related degree

• Prior support role experience

Education: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
